Café & Tech #4 Space Tech Edition
On October 30th, 2024, La French Tech Krakow hosted the fourth edition of its Café & Tech roundtable, focusing this time on SpaceTech, at the Krakow Technology Park. This C-level breakfast series, co-organized with the Consulat général de France à Cracovie, brought together French and Polish stakeholders from public institutions, universities, venture capital firms, startups, and large companies involved in space technologies.
The event opened with discussions led by Jarek Chojnacki, EU Project Manager and European Space Agency (ESA)technology broker, highlighting how the Krakow Technology Park fosters innovation by supporting local startups and international cooperation.
Following the roundtable exchanges on contributions, projects, and potential collaborations within the French and Polish space sectors, participants had the opportunity to take an exclusive tour of the Centrum SOLARIS. Guided by Director Jakub Szlachetko and Deputy Finance Director Michał Młynarczyk, the group discovered Central and Eastern Europe’s only particle accelerator, an impressive 100-meter-wide storage ring propelling electrons to near-light speeds. Among its many applications, the facility enables advanced testing for materials used in the space industry .
